According to a recent announcement published by leading cryptocurrency trading platform Binance, Shiba Inu, along with Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible Avalanche ($AVAX), and $XRP, an extremely popular cryptocurrency improving cross-border payments, is being included as a payment method to its popular Binance Card.

The move means Binance Card now supports 14 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin ($BTC), BNB ($BNB), $BUSD, Polkadot ($DOT),FC Porto Fan Token ($PORTO), $USDT, and Cardano ($ADA).

The addition of the meme-inspired cryptocurrency and of AVAX and XRP does not mean there will be changes to users’ current Payment Priority preferences, it adds. The Binance Card, according to the announcement, is “issued by the licensed entity UAB “Finansinės paslaugos „Contis” and distributed by Swipe.”

Binance’s announcement also notes that the Binance Card is only available for users living in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Ukrainian refugees residing in a country belonging to the EEA.

SHIB has over time kept on seeing its holder count grow even during the ongoing bear market, to the point now over 1.2 million Ethereum addresses hold SHIB, up from around one million eight months ago.
